About The Position

The Threat Intelligence Analyst role at X involves providing critical intelligence support to various teams within the organization, including Threat Management Operations (TMO). The position focuses on analyzing risks associated with employee onboarding, conducting investigations into security incidents, and managing the TMO Cyber Threat Intelligence Program. The analyst will also create training materials and establish partnerships with stakeholders to enhance security measures and response strategies.

Requirements

• 4 year degree in intelligence, political science, international relations, information security, information systems, criminal justice, forensic accounting, computer science or a related field.
• 1-3 years experience conducting Threat Analysis & OSINT for a private sector or government agency.
• Experience dealing with adversarial nation state intelligence agencies and criminal actors.
• Cyber Threat Intelligence experience including knowledge of adversarial Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
• Strong understanding of cryptocurrency and blockchain analysis, with experience in fraud investigations.
• Experience conducting online investigations and litigation support.
• OSINT certifications such as government courses or commercial certifications.
• Cybersecurity certifications or significant cybersecurity experience.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and provide risk assessments for onboarding employees based on background checks.
• Provide investigative expertise and analysis for various teams including Insider Threat, People Team, and Offensive Security Team.
• Write and brief reports as directed and create training curriculum on security topics.
• Assist in managing the TMO Cyber Threat Intelligence Program.
• Establish partnerships with stakeholders such as Corporate Security and Threat Disruption.
• Respond to RFIs from partners using OSINT techniques.
• Conduct investigations into internal and external security incidents and threat actors.
• Engage with online threat actors as directed.
• Organize and host training material for the X team.
