About The Position

Torch Technologies Inc. is looking for a Threat and Target Modeling Systems Analyst to support the Air & Missile Defense Business Unit. As a Threat and Target Modeling Systems Analyst your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: Perform high-fidelity kinematic modeling of missiles and aircraft and prepare generated data for use in system simulations. Provide models, sometimes on short notice, to support testing events and offer feedback to customers when needed. Develop and maintain model data generation and checkout tools, participate in technical interchange meetings, program reviews, integration and test working groups, and support meetings by preparing analyses and reports. Analyzes and evaluates user requirements by coordinating with the user to define the problem, data availability, report requirements and system design problems. Defines systems objectives and prepares system design specifications to meet user requirements and satisfy interface problems. Analyzes alternate means of deriving input data to select the most accurate, feasible and economical methods. Defines input and output file specifications including file organization. Defines controls, conversion procedures and system implementation plans including user training and orientation. May provide work leadership to lower level employees. Excludes those with full supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical engineering, Aerospace engineering, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, with experience in kinematic modeling and programming experience in MATLAB.
  • 5 years of systems analysis experience.
  • Clearance: Secret or higher - Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active security clearance.
  • Schedule: M-F, 8-5
  • Work Location: Customer site
  • Travel: Yes, 0-10%
