About The Position

Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate opening for a Threat Analysis Engineer- Mid Career in Columbia, MD. This position is to provide support various technical areas serving as a multi-disciplinary analyst to multiple projects and programs. Gain a wide breath of experience across multiple disciplines both internally and externally to SEG. Data analysis and visualizations, including responding to quick reaction quests for analysis. Analysis comparing intelligence information to existing data for various uses and purposes. Develop and present briefings capturing analysis, intelligence information, and technology trends. Perform studies and initial modeling efforts in support of various customer needs on quick turn tasking with limited scopes. Documentation and presentation of work to internal and external customers. Reviewing engineering briefs. Preparing and present analyses to customers within context of customer needs.

Requirements

• Must have a Bachelor of Science degree or Master of Science degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering and at least 3+ years of related experience.
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills to convey abstract concepts to both technical and non-technical audience.
• Must be able to construct succinct and focused briefs conveying a clear message to the customer.
• Must be able to design and execute meaningful analysis.
• Must have interpersonal skills to enable working, interfacing, and correlating technical approaches with a diverse team to understand and recommend forward-leaning tasks to the program managers.
• Must be skilled in use of Python or MATLAB to read-in, interpret, analyze and plot diverse data.
• Must have strong organization and data management skills.
• Must have an Active Secret Security clearance, and the ability to maintain clearance
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years of relevant industry experience, preferred.
• Experience presenting at technical reviews utilizing Microsoft Office, preferred.
• Programming experience and scripting in a Linux Environment, preferred.
• Knowledge of aerospace/defense systems technology domains, preferred.
• Experience with cruise and/or ballistic missile defense programs, preferred.
• Knowledge of adversary or domestic cruise and/or ballistic missiles, preferred.
