About The Position

The Threadroll Operator Trainee will set up and operate various threadroll machines for manufacturing precision aircraft quality fasteners. This position is essential in ensuring the quality and efficiency of the production process.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 0-6 months experience in threadrolling aircraft quality fasteners on various types of threadroll machines, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to learn to read and understand blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate various threadroll machines for manufacturing precision aircraft quality fasteners.
  • Use and set all gages, micrometers, calipers, plug and ring gages, comparator and microscope.
  • Understand threadroll part feature terminology.
  • Read and interpret part drawings, work instructions, process control procedures, policies and procedures.
  • Use necessary measuring tools.
  • Recognize improper machine functioning and report any safety concerns.
  • Perform first piece verification process per part print and conduct loaf pan inspections.
  • Perform daily 5S on work area and equipment and understand lean principles.
  • Perform preventative maintenance daily at shift start.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Communicate effectively and apply basic shop math.
  • Pass production stamp test.
  • Understand Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Complete transactions in Shop-Trak accurately.
