Additionally, we provide Tuition Reimbursement eligibility. The job involves processing high-quality oil country tubular goods (OCTG) threaded products in conformance with API specifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining or exceeding production quotas on schedule. This role requires inspecting threaded ends of downhole casing and couplings (OCTG) to verify conformance with API and/or customer specifications. The position works closely with the CNC operator as a key part of our production line and serves as the frontline agent of production and machine operation for the company’s threading department. Essential duties include evaluating threaded products using a variety of gauges and measuring devices to determine compliance with industry (API 5CT, 5B) and customer requirements. The inspector will measure machined threads and outside diameter of pipes to determine thread size, taper, threads per inch, and size of pipe using thread gauges and micrometers. The role also involves determining whether combinations of thread elements will form joints capable of withstanding the weight of the entire string of piping in a well and preventing the entrance of outside fluids or gases, applying knowledge of standard and obsolete thread forms. Maintaining precision measuring devices properly to ensure flawless operation, completing and updating all applicable records, and proactively suggesting improvements are also key responsibilities. The inspector must maintain a clean and safe workplace and complete and distribute reports as needed.
