About The Position

Novant Health Cancer Institute is seeking a Full-time Thoracic Surgeon to join their team in Charlotte, NC. Candidate should be fellowship trained in Thoracic Surgery. Join a collaborative and dedicated team providing care in one of North Carolina's most desirable regions. The Thoracic program includes lung cancer screening, a lung nodule clinic, and multidisciplinary care involving surgery, radiation, and medical oncology. The role offers the opportunity to participate in clinical research and teaching opportunities available through our clinical affiliation with UNC-Chapel Hill, working with UNC medical students. Engage in a weekly multi-disciplinary cancer conference to support patient-centered care. Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support available in both the clinic and operating room. Call duties are shared with the Cardio-Thoracic Team, rotating every 5-6 weeks.

Requirements

• Fellowship trained in Thoracic Surgery
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Thoracic Surgery

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical care to patients aged 18 and older
• Participate in clinical research
• Engage in weekly multi-disciplinary cancer conferences
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare providers including physicians and APPs
