Job SummaryThe Third Grade Teacher at Holy Cross Academy is responsible for providing faith-centered, high-quality instruction that supports the academic, spiritual, social, and emotional development of students. This role delivers curriculum aligned with diocesan and school standards while fostering a structured, engaging, and respectful classroom environment rooted in Catholic values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required).
  • Valid teaching certification or eligibility (preferred).
  • Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to support the mission of Holy Cross Academy.
  • Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in core subject areas including Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Religion.
  • Integrate Catholic teachings, traditions, and values into daily instruction and classroom routines.
  • Establish and maintain a positive, organized, and nurturing learning environment that promotes student responsibility and academic growth.
  • Differentiate instruction to address diverse learning styles, abilities, and academic needs.
  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
  • Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and behavior in accordance with school policies.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with parents/guardians regarding student progress, expectations, and concerns.
  • Collaborate with faculty, support staff, and administration to support student success and school initiatives.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, liturgical celebrations, and school events.
  • Adhere to all school policies, diocesan guidelines, and professional standards.
