About The Position

Third Grade Instructor Trinity Valley School | Fort Worth, Texas Who You Are You are an experienced elementary educator who loves working with elementary-aged children and places students at the heart of your instructional practice. Your organizational excellence in the day-to-day allows you to manage the many moving parts of a self-contained classroom while maintaining a big picture focus on the ways that the third grade year fits into the developmental arc of a child's learning journey. Your strong understanding of assessment practices and data-informed instruction ensures that every child grows and progresses in their time with you. They experience that growth within the classroom community you have fostered to help them feel safe, share openly, take risks, and value the work they do to contribute to that progress. Your modeling of reflective practice helps your students see challenges as opportunities for growth, and your flexibility and adaptability when circumstances change teaches resilience by example. Your Impact As a third-grade teacher, you'll create a classroom environment where students feel known, challenged, and supported as they navigate a critical year of academic and social-emotional growth. You'll design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction across all subject areas that promotes fine scholarship and intellectual curiosity in alignment with Trinity Valley School's mission. You'll differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of your learners, using assessment data to inform your teaching and ensure every student is growing. You'll build strong relationships with your students and their families, communicating regularly about progress, celebrating successes, and partnering to support each child's development. Your positive classroom culture will provide a space where students learn to take responsibility for their learning, treat one another with kindness and respect, and develop the independence and confidence that will serve them throughout their lives. You'll also have an opportunity to be a part of a milestone year within our Trojan Outdoor Education (TOE) program. As a collaborative member of the Lower School faculty, you'll work closely with your grade-level team to plan curriculum, share best practices, and support one another's growth. You'll participate in professional development opportunities, stay current with educational research and evidence-based instructional practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice. You'll be a visible, engaged presence in the Lower School community-attending faculty meetings, school events, and activities that strengthen our sense of connection and shared purpose. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field
• Significant elementary classroom teaching experience, preferably with experience in independent schools
• Exemplify personal and professional integrity
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Recognize, embrace, and advance institutional goals for Equity, Inclusion, and Community
