Third Grade Instructor Trinity Valley School | Fort Worth, Texas Who You Are You are an experienced elementary educator who loves working with elementary-aged children and places students at the heart of your instructional practice. Your organizational excellence in the day-to-day allows you to manage the many moving parts of a self-contained classroom while maintaining a big picture focus on the ways that the third grade year fits into the developmental arc of a child's learning journey. Your strong understanding of assessment practices and data-informed instruction ensures that every child grows and progresses in their time with you. They experience that growth within the classroom community you have fostered to help them feel safe, share openly, take risks, and value the work they do to contribute to that progress. Your modeling of reflective practice helps your students see challenges as opportunities for growth, and your flexibility and adaptability when circumstances change teaches resilience by example. As a strong relationship builder, you bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills that allow you to build trust with students, families, and colleagues. Your collaborative mindset will be valued by a team that believes we work best when we work together. The TVS Lower School Team The TVS Lower School provides a nurturing educational experience that meets the unique social, emotional, and cognitive needs of young learners while fostering creative problem solving, innovative thinking, and community connection. Our teachers ignite curiosity, unlock creativity, and foster a love of learning-ensuring every student is known, loved, and valued. We build a foundation of confidence, empathy, independence, and leadership that supports our students not only in the classroom, but in life. This work is driven by one powerful purpose: our students. The Lower School faculty is a team united by that shared commitment, and it's what makes this work so deeply rewarding. Joy here is contagious and palpable-laughter spills out of classrooms, excitement fills moments of discovery, and we delight in our students' growth every single day. That energy fuels us and points us back to our purpose. We're looking for a teammate who wants to be an invested part of the TVS community-someone who brings warmth and positivity to their everyday interactions, who finds joy and inspiration in collaboration, and who is always willing to lend a hand. Your Impact As a third-grade teacher, you'll create a classroom environment where students feel known, challenged, and supported as they navigate a critical year of academic and social-emotional growth. You'll design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction across all subject areas that promotes fine scholarship and intellectual curiosity in alignment with Trinity Valley School's mission. You'll differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of your learners, using assessment data to inform your teaching and ensure every student is growing. You'll build strong relationships with your students and their families, communicating regularly about progress, celebrating successes, and partnering to support each child's development. Your positive classroom culture will provide a space where students learn to take responsibility for their learning, treat one another with kindness and respect, and develop the independence and confidence that will serve them throughout their lives. You'll also have an opportunity to be a part of a milestone year within our Trojan Outdoor Education (TOE) program. As a collaborative member of the Lower School faculty, you'll work closely with your grade-level team to plan curriculum, share best practices, and support one another's growth. You'll participate in professional development opportunities, stay current with educational research and evidence-based instructional practices, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice. You'll be a visible, engaged presence in the Lower School community-attending faculty meetings, school events, and activities that strengthen our sense of connection and shared purpose. This is a chance to make a lasting impact on young learners during a formative year, to collaborate with talented colleagues who care deeply about their craft, and to be part of a school community that values knowing every child and nurturing their potential.
