Position: Think Tank Bar Back/Busser Location: Naples, FL Reports to: F&B Managers Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly) Bar Back will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance to the Innovation Hotel service standards and standards of Mainsail Lodging & Development. Bar Back will also be responsible for helping all other staff and operations to maintain a well-organized, clean and well stocked outlet. Friendly interactions with patrons will be required but focus will be on the support staff position. Please note, Mainsail Lodging & Development is a drug-free workplace. Pre-employment screening, to include a background check, is required for all candidates offered a position. Essential Functions Provide service to bartenders in a timely manner Prepare all mixes and garnishes Keep bar top clean and free of dirty glasses, trash, etc. throughout shift Keep back bar clean and organized Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment Clean all spills immediately and place all trash in proper receptacles Sweep and mop as needed Empty trash as necessary Assist with loading/unloading of miscellaneous equipment, such as boxes, food and beverage product Ensure all stocking is complete, requisitions are filled out and any shortage of stock is reported Provide guests with accurate and thorough information regarding menu items, pricing, and allergen information Light food running when applicable, ability to carry plates that may be warm or hot Responsible for setting tables and removing used plate ware and Bar Back will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service to all guests that is consistent and continually in accordance to the Innovation Hotel service standards and standards of Mainsail Lodging & Development. Bar Back will also be responsible for helping all other staff and operations to maintain a well-organized, clean and well stocked outlet. Friendly interactions with patrons will be required but focus will be on the support staff position. utensils Recognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat business Respond to guest concerns/complaints and correct errors or resolve complaints while maintaining a positive attitude escalating to management when necessary Monitor potentially intoxicated and/or disruptive guests and promptly bring to a manager’s attention Inform management of any complaint, comments or incident Record and report any equipment failure and/or safety hazards to management immediately Move furniture as directed by management, including but not limited to: tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes, and equipment Comply with all safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor laws Maintain company safety and sanitation standards Assists and/ or completes additional tasks as assigned by management Qualification Standards Education & Experience High School diploma or higher Previous hospitality experience required Minimum of one (1) year related experience Experience with POS systems Familiarity with beer and spirits Proper lifting techniques Guest relations Sanitation and safety Safe alcohol service Full service restaurant operations Physical Demands Ability to lift 30 pounds or more Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time Ability to communicate clearly Corrected vision to normal range Ability to work long hours as needed Mental Demands Make sound judgments quickly Work on multiple tasks, making appropriate progress towards deadlines Able to work independently, take direction, and provide direction to others Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality Ability to work effectively in stressful, high pressure situations Please note, Mainsail Lodging & Development is a drug-free workplace. Requirements
