About The Position

A day in the life You arrive at a Novolex facility that powers foodservice, grocery, retail, and industrial brands with innovative packaging across resin, paper, molded fiber, and aluminum. Your first task: prepare roll-fed and inline thermoforming lines with the correct materials and tooling, getting production humming on schedule. Throughout the shift, you fine‑tune machine settings, partner with operators, and eliminate scrap while boosting throughput. What you'll own Complete end‑to-end changeovers on all roll‑fed and inline equipment within target time using specified materials. Coach and mentor less experienced operators on safe, approved setup and operating practices. Contribute updates to machine training manuals and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs). Perform routine mechanical maintenance, basic repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. Provide input on capital upgrades and replacement of aging equipment. Collaborate to improve tooling designs and implement modifications that enhance performance. Work directly with Sales and Tool Design to ensure new tools are engineered to run efficiently on WNA equipment. Partner with Process Engineers, leads, Maintenance, Operators, and Packers to shorten setup time, drive efficiency, and reduce waste. Make all necessary machine adjustments to transition tooling from setup to steady-state production.

Requirements

  • 4+ years in a maintenance mechanic/technician/tooling role within manufacturing.
  • Training/experience with 480V 3‑phase power and machine controls.
  • Background in manufacturing methods and process improvement programs/procedures.
  • Forklift operating experience.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment and work overtime as required.
  • Strong commitment to safety, continuous learning, and completing assigned training.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on familiarity with VFDs and PLCs (preferred).
