About The Position

To safely operate assigned Thermophaser/Padding machine to maximize efficiency according to standard operating procedures; keep downtime to a minimum, maintain required production documentation, and maintain standard quality.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Proficient mathematical skills
Ability to systematically work through problems, can work with deadlines individually or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Performs work in a safe manner for protection of all employees.
Reports to the Supervisor any safety hazards, safety violations, or injuries that occur.
Produces at required rate while maintaining quality standards.
Keeps maximum machine output by keeping machines running.
Keep the area around the machines clean and orderly.
Maintains constant surveillance of product quality and takes immediate steps to correct deviations from specifications and is accountable for all product quality and quantity produced.
Troubleshoots all machines with minimum assistance from Technician.
Notifies supervisor and/or Technician of any machine, material or quality problems that are beyond their control.
Properly completes all paperwork (Production Report, Daily Log Sheet).
Become familiar with safety equipment and safety regulations.
Supplies the Packers with enough packaging supplies to safely work in their area.
Assist Packers as needed.
Relieve Packers and Operators for breaks and lunch periods.
Performs minor set-up functions – table chutes, bag stands, heat profile, cycle time, etc.
Maintains highest housekeeping standards at all times.
Conducts food safety and defense self-inspections and reports on deficiencies.
Performs other duties as directed by the Supervisor.
