About The Position
The Therapy Technician position at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas is a full-time role focused on providing support in an acute care setting. The technician will assist in the transfer, transport, and positioning of patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and contraindications. Additionally, the technician will set up and remove therapy equipment as directed by therapists, perform routine maintenance on equipment, and report any issues to supervisors. Effective communication is essential, as the technician will relay patient observations and interactions to the therapy team. The position also involves organizing treatment schedules and assisting in the training and supervision of other staff members, including Physical Therapy Technicians and volunteers.
