About The Position

The Therapy Extern is a skilled technical worker who assists the licensed practitioner, or therapist, in performing patient related activities in order to produce effective outcomes. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining supplies and equipment for therapeutic use. Carrying out, at the direction of the licensed practitioner, specific routine aspects of treatment preparation, delivery, or clean up that do not require the clinical skill of the practitioner to perform. Participates in performance improvement and program growth including data entry.

Requirements

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent, and Current enrollment or recent completion of PT, PTA, OT, COTA, or ST program
• Certifications: BLS/CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)

Nice To Haves

• Experience: Previous healthcare experience preferred
