About The Position
The Therapy Services Specialist is responsible for working under the guidance of occupational therapist, collaborate with the managed care organization to support persons aging in place receiving home or community-based services. This position involves performing telephonic and/or virtual assessments to identify participants' needs, providing recommendations to MCO for type and hours of supportive services required, conducting objective assessments for program participation, obtaining participant history, and educating program participants and MCO representatives on options for home modifications and adaptive equipment. The specialist will also assist the clinical team with recommendations for equipment and services and document all member encounters per documentation standards.
