Will cover multiple disciplines. Accountable for leading direct teams to uphold high standards of service.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in business, or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years previous experience with Physical and/or Hand Therapy
  • 3-5 years previous leadership experience required
  • Functional / Technical Skills: Demonstrates strong functional knowledge of Therapy operations and applies technical expertise to optimize workflows, systems, and processes. Uses data, tools, and technology including Microsoft Office effectively to support decision‑making and drive operational excellence.
  • Communication: Communicates clearly, professionally, and proactively with team members, patients, and cross‑functional partners. Tailors messaging to the audience ensure understanding and promotes transparency and alignment across the organization. Skilled at communicating and influencing own management.
  • Customer Service: Delivers a high level of service to both internal and external customers by responding promptly, resolving concerns effectively, and maintaining a patient‑centered approach in all interactions.
  • Collaboration: Builds strong, trusting relationships across teams and departments. Works cooperatively and collaboratively with team members, peers, managers and encourages shared problem‑solving.   • Must be able to travel from clinic to clinic based on specific geography assigned.
  • Must be able to manage both regular walking and moving, along with ability to sit for periods of time; must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when lifting and/or performing desk duties.
  • Adequate hearing to perform duties in person and over telephone.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone.
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading materials from printed sources and computer screens.

Responsibilities

  • Drives the full employment life cycle experience for all direct reports.
  • Performs selection and placement tasks for open positions, fulfills onboarding actions, assesses and strengthens individual engagement and productivity. ensures performance goals are defined and understood, coaches for ongoing development, conducts regular one-on-one meetings, including formal touchpoints and formal reviews, makes compensation recommendations and follows defined processes to implement, addresses performance and/or behavior gaps promptly, escalates to performance improvement plans and/or dismissal when appropriate following OrthoVirginia policies and practices, conducts offboarding tasks.
  • Primary leader who is accountable for overall positive patient experience by helping resolve patient concerns, ensuring smooth and accurate scheduling, and promoting consistent operational workflows across Therapy locations. The position also serves as a liaison across teams to maintain efficient patient flow and uphold high standards of service and communication.
  • Leads key operational improvement efforts by driving system enhancements, optimizing technology and workflows, and supporting regional initiatives that strengthen efficiency and consistency across Therapy operations. Oversee the implementation of new processes and tools, ensures smooth adoption across teams, and monitors performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and sustained operational excellence.
  • Primary leader responsible for the financial and operational health of the Therapy administrative department within the region, including support with budget planning, staffing models, and effective resource utilization. The role also ensures accurate charge capture and documentation, oversees inventory and purchasing needs, and partners with internal teams to address insurance‑related questions, authorizations, and denials. Additionally, this position is responsible for facilities in coordination with the Regional Therapy Director and Regional Operations Leadership, serving as the first point of contact for facility issues related to therapy space and collaborating with physician leadership on shared spaces.
  • Serves as a liaison across Therapy operations within their region, partnering with Clinic Managers, RCM, insurance teams, and other departments to ensure alignment and smooth workflow execution. The position supports leadership through participation in Therapy meetings, coordination of cross-functional communication, and reporting on key operational trends. It also acts as a primary resource for registration and authorization-related inquiries, helping maintain consistency and operational clarity across teams.
  • Responsible for ensuring site/function team environment is positive and productive. In partnership with other operational leaders, builds a team environment that is positive and productive. Reinforces OV enterprise-wide messages by enabling and empowering their team.
  • Primary leader accountable for compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, governmental regulations, and professional standards of care/operations as defined by and communicated through Functional Leadership (Quality/Safety, Operations Director).
