Requirements

  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist required.
  • For Speech discipline: Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association required.
  • Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Nice To Haves

  • A minimum of three (3) years experience as a therapist with leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates patient treatment and staff development.
  • Communicates clinical issues as they relate to service or program development to the leadership team.
  • Promotes clinical development, competency and expertise in staff to maximize patient outcomes.
  • Assists with daily operational management tasks and effectively communicates on multiple levels.
  • Selects qualified candidates who fit the culture and have the most potential to contribute to accomplishment of established objectives.
  • Provides regular and accurate performance feedback to direct reports with focus on results, skill expansion, process improvement and learning.
  • Identifies and effectively utilizes individual and team strengths to facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Optimizes departmental operations by identifying current needs, strategically delegating responsibility, and planning for succession of these responsibilities.
  • Identifies, responds and reports acute changes in patient status.
  • Follows appropriate emergency procedures to ensure patient safety.
  • Coordinates and facilitates departmental response to emergency situations.
  • Pursues focused skill development through continuing education, self-study, involvement in professional activities and organizations.
  • Utilizes the organization’s performance improvement methodology to improve quality of services provided.
  • Takes an active role in implementing new PI initiatives, delegating responsibilities appropriately.
  • Provides feedback regarding outcomes to all levels of the rehab department.
  • Serves as a liaison between clinical departments and DOR and/or CEO.
  • Consistently exhibits commitment to patient-centered care and customer service excellence.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
