Your Position at Vantive This position is responsible for providing sales promotion and clinical support to Vantive's customers, across multiple hospital department call points including but not limited to physicians, nursing, supply chain, biomed, with an emphasis on Nephrology, Pulmonary, and Critical Care in the South Carolina territory. This position is responsible for ongoing account development, growing existing accounts, developing new business, therapy education, and product training. The product portfolio includes innovative technologies and therapies for continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), multi-organ extracorporeal support therapy, and additional dialysis services. This critical role is considered the expert in CRRT and TPE services and supportive role in multi-organ support therapy in the critical care space.

Requirements

  • Preferred degree in Nursing, Business, Marketing, and/or related field of study
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience in sales, clinical support, or therapy development, ideally with complex medical devices OR 5 years of critical care nursing experience
  • Prior experience selling to Capital Equipment markets and “Conceptual Selling” to physicians, clinicians, and hospitals in critical care settings OR prior experience delivering CRRT in hospital ICU setting is highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to take a positive, proactive approach to solving complex and/or clinical or technical problems
  • Must demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to assist customers in starting new initiatives/programs
  • Strong understanding of clinical environments and hospital workflows
  • Proven expertise in product and/or therapy knowledge
  • Displayed ability and desire to teach clinicians complex therapy/products
  • Demonstrated self-confidence and effectiveness in dealing with a wide variety of student types
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently and collaborating with a team
  • Demonstrated willingness to collaborate on pricing, contracts and renewals
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and matrixed organization
  • Ability to interact positively, professionally and effectively with customers, physicians, nurses and other medical staff
  • Proficiency with MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Travel Ability to travel up to 50% overnight depending on territory geography. Including local and regional travel in designated territory, as well as to occasional regional and national medical conferences and/or global business meetings as required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow CRRT therapy in existing accounts - Focus on high growth potential accounts within territory
  • Establish and develop consultative role with key stakeholders to promote therapy development, facilitate relationship building and provide necessary customer service within existing customer base and competitive accounts.
  • Solicit, develop and maintain successful relationships with key healthcare professionals in assigned accounts
  • Educate and train critical care staff within new and existing accounts to product portfolio and CRRT therapy
  • Collaborate with the Territory Business Manager (TBM) to develop strategic goals to drive therapy utilization and territory growth with existing and new business opportunities
  • Consistently analyze for all growth & expansion opportunities within the existing and new customer base.
  • Act as lead for incremental machine sales and key CRRT product penetration
  • Enhance therapy utilization and drive Vantive value in the critical care space
  • Assist Acute Clinical Education (ACE) Team – CRRT & TPE with logistics and trainings at customer locations
  • Assists in contract negotiations with the TBM
