About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Therapy Technician to fill our full-time opening at our Inpatient hospital in Downtown Dallas! BSWIR-Dallas has an opening for a full time therapy tech in our busy in patient rehabilitation department. We are seeking an idividual with a passion for providing an excellent patient experience and has good written and verbal skills. The tech will be responsible for providing hand on assistance to the therapists, maintain and clean therapy space and equipment, transport patients to and from scheduled therapy and other appointments and complete rouitine clerical and scheduling tasks. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year experience as a therapy tech. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is considering a career as a therapist to get very valuable hands on experience. Duties include assistance to clinicians for direct patient care (transferring, toileting), infection control cleaning, light equipment maintenance, driving routes to transport patients to and from clinic, assistance to front desk for light clerical tasks, setting up patients on therapeutic activities, facilitating exercise groups, and other duties as assigned. Candidate must be hard working, thrive in a fast-paced environment, friendly, energetic, able to multi-task, adaptable, and eager to learn and contribute to a positive team. Must have a valid driver's license.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- BLS Certification or completion within 90 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- One or more years of hospital experience as therapy aide preferred.
Responsibilities
