Role Scope : We are looking for a dynamic, service-oriented therapy aide who is passionate about supporting elderly persons in their journey. The therapy aide will assist the therapy department in day-to-day operations to ensure successful participant therapy and experience. Participant Care Contribute to a center experience that Participants want to spend time in, a team culture that cares and creates joy, and an environment where all participants and team members belong. Exhibit and honor Habitat’s Values. Assists a licensed Therapist in implementation of therapeutic treatment activities for patients as directed. Assembles, adjusts, adapts, repairs, and/or constructs simple equipment for elderly participants as instructed by a Therapist. Prepares and maintains treatment areas; cleans therapy gym, treatment mats, and equipment; and picks up equipment. Maintains inventory, sets up for, and leads recreational activities under direction of the recreational therapist. Performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A minimum of one year experience working with the frail or elderly.
  • Proof of medical clearance for communicable diseases, including a TB test.
  • Proof of all immunizations up to date.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or education in physical, occupational, recreational therapy.
  • Bilingual: Spanish preferred.
  • A state issued driver’s license, personal transportation, and auto insurance as required by law
