About The Position

At Prevea Health, the Therapy Aide Supervisor will assist the department manager in the development, organization, and implementation of the department's day-to-day operations, reflecting a commitment to Prevea Clinic's mission, vision, and values. This role has responsibilities for staffing and personnel development, quality improvement, customer service, and department planning. Sets the standard for patient work up, following therapist protocols and is responsible for assuring the provision of optimal patient care on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and/or GED Required
  • 2 years working experience within a health care setting, preferably in a therapy department Required
  • CPR/BLS Certification-Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from an approved program. Required
  • Capable of assisting in the implementation of process changes.
  • Ability to form work/patient relationships with patients and peers
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands
  • Ability to handle and process confidential information.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy level.
  • Ability to use computer, phone and office equipment.
  • Fosters teamwork through effective written and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of therapy to provide appropriate care to the patient.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
  • Fosters work and patient relationships through excellent interpersonal skills and behaviors.
  • Possess skills to effectively problem solve.

Responsibilities

  • Performs full range of leadership responsibilities which include, but is not limited to; interviewing, hiring, coaching, and development of employees; managing performance and any performance issues; planning, assigning, and directing work; encourage innovation, teamwork, fiscal responsibility, high-quality work, and a positive/productive work environment. Front line management and problem solving of staffing gaps, scheduling, and performance concerns.
  • Carries out routine operational functions including maintaining treatment and gym areas. This can include cleaning, disinfecting, and store therapy equipment after each use. Also reporting any equipment malfunctions to staff.
  • Analyzes and recommends changes in department processes, systems, and procedures to increase efficiencies in the department. While also implementing solutions to improve department functions.
  • Provide patient assistance by escorting them to treatment areas and with any further patient set up as instructed by the therapist.
  • Assist with positioning during therapy session this could include but is not limited guarding techniques for patient safety, providing support to treatment modalities, etc.
  • Offers administrative support in conjunction with Patient Service Representative team to help manage patient wait-list and other scheduling needs within electronic medical records system (EPIC)
  • Order supplies and equipment for clinics
