About The Position

The Clinical Therapist/Clinical Case Manager is responsible for delivering high-quality, trauma-informed, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-oriented clinical services while ensuring full compliance with organizational policies, state licensing requirements, and accreditation standards. This role supports client safety, therapeutic progress, and regulatory integrity through ethical practice, accurate documentation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

Master’s degree from an accredited school of Human Behavioral Sciences such as Social Work or Psychology required.
Current Licensure as specified within the State of Michigan’s licensing and contractual rules and expectations required
Physical health adequate for performance of work.

Demonstrates a profound depth of expertise in deploying clinical social work assessment and intervention methodologies within the context of youth-focused, therapeutic residential programs.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of the social service sector, including the array of programs and services offered across various agencies.
Demonstrates familiarity with family court systems and the interagency coordination required for effective service delivery.
Maintains a working knowledge of state licensing requirements and their application within the context of specific program operations within the industry.

Responsibilities

Uphold all human resources, licensing, and regulatory compliance requirements in accordance with organizational policy, state and federal regulations, and accreditation standards.
Function as a mandated reporter in compliance with the Michigan Child Protection Law, ensuring timely and appropriate reporting of suspected abuse or neglect.
Maintain knowledge of and adherence to all applicable laws, rules, and ethical standards governing clinical practice.
Execute, monitor, and audit the provision of appropriate therapeutic treatment and clinical case management services in alignment with best clinical practices, organizational policies, state licensing regulations, and accreditation standards.
Conduct and evaluate individualized Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions tailored to the unique needs of assigned clients in individual, group, and family therapy settings.
Ensure a comprehensive understanding of each client’s treatment plan and consistently implement all required interventions and therapeutic goals.
Ensure a comprehensive understanding of each client’s safety plan and strictly adhere to safety protocols and interventions.
Role model the consistent use of client-centered, strengths-based, and evidence-informed interventions.
Ensure all CBT and Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) criteria, certifications, and standards are maintained and applied appropriately.
Ensure all client interactions and clinical services are delivered using a trauma-informed care approach, promoting emotional safety, trust, and empowerment.
Review all relevant documentation at the start of each shift, including but not limited to medical waivers, incident reports, safety plans, client logs, and internal communications related to assigned clients and groups.
Accurately complete all required documentation, including clinical notes, logs, reports, and incident reports, in a timely and thorough manner.
Ensure all documentation is finalized by the end of each shift and submitted to the appropriate supervisor in accordance with organizational standards and timelines.
Coordinate with the Staff Development Team to ensure all required training, certifications, and professional development requirements are completed and tracked through Paycor.
Participate in all required meetings, including clinical, supervisory, training, and organizational meetings, contributing professionally and collaboratively.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, multidisciplinary team members, and support staff to ensure continuity of care and consistent service delivery.
Demonstrate flexibility in scheduling and service delivery to support optimal client therapeutic outcomes and continuity of clinical services.
Adapt schedules as needed to meet the evolving clinical and therapeutic needs of clients while maintaining program and staffing requirements.
