About The Position

Would YOU enjoy a career positively impacting young people's lives through The Bridge's Transitions program, and working Monday-Friday, full-time? As a therapist, you will provide basic living skills and family support services for adolescents and their families, serving clients in Montgomery County (Alabama). Essential Functions Provide clinical services in individual and family therapy mode Willing to work with families and clients during non-traditional hours in a variety of settings, including offices, schools, client's homes, or other approved community locations Consult with other staff regarding appropriate modes of treatment and interventions with the client Maintain cooperative relationships with the treatment community, juvenile probation department, and other necessary and authorized agencies Assist in the provision of treatment services Ensure the content of client file is in full compliance Complete all required documentation in the electronic health record

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a clinical area (i.e., psychology, social work, counseling, marriage, and family) OR other behavioral health areas with requisite coursework equivalent to that of a degree in above
  • Must have a practicum/internship from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education OR have six (6) months post master’s clinical experience
  • Must have a current driver's license, acceptable driver records, and access to reliable transportation to meet with clients
  • Must possess basic computer skills such as using e-mails for effective communication, writing, and editing in Microsoft Word or Google Docs, searching for information with Google
