About The Position

Requirements

  • Must possess at least a Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Hold licensure with the applicable board of professional registration for the state of practice as a professional counselor or social worker.
  • Successful completion of background checks including criminal record, driving record, and abuse/neglect.
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • First Aid and CPR certification within three months of employment.
  • Completion of mandatory training within specified timeframes.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain licensure in additional states, if required.
  • Comfort with providing telehealth services (training will be provided).

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, group, family, and practical counseling in a variety of settings tailored to meet the client's needs and treatment goals.
  • Complete intake/screening and comprehensive assessments within state regulatory/accreditation standards.
  • Determine and document diagnoses based on thorough assessments.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans compliant with state regulations that evolve as new information is gathered.
  • Participate in clinical meetings, offering feedback on pertinent cases.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure necessary services are approved and provided within specified timeframes.
  • Document all services in accordance with state standards and ensure timely entry and accuracy in treatment plans.
  • Assist clients during the transition process, completing necessary correspondence.
  • Represent the agency within the community professionally.
  • Handle crises effectively and participate in emergency services for rapid response.
  • Provide training and guidance on clinical issues and evidence-based practices as needed.
