Clarion Psychiatric Center offers inpatient treatment for adults with moderate to severe psychiatric problems, inpatient crisis stabilization for children and adolescents, and a Partial Hospitalization Program for school-aged children. Our recently expanded 112-bed inpatient program has 4 units. As such, staff with 6 or more years of service would be able to have their student loans paid off (up to $250,000). Employees engaging in direct patient care qualify. Requirements

Masters Degree in Social Service field is required.
Not Required
Inpatient/outpatient psychiatric experience preferred.
Providing individual and/or group therapy.
Family dynamics, casework, interpersonal relationships and regional social policy.
Knowledge of therapeutic relationships, therapeutic processes, growth and development, limit-setting and behavior management, crisis management of aggressive behaviors, CPR training.
Communication skills and ability to teach patients.

Hospital setting. Some risk involved in the event of the presence of an aggressive / violent patient. Works in a well lighted and ventilated setting, is subject to frequent interruptions, is involved with the patients and personnel throughout designated unit under varying conditions and circumstances. Is subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc., including exposure to HIV and Hepatitis B Viruses
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and be able to walk and stand for long periods.
Able to participate in crisis prevention intervention.
Drug/Alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post offer, pre-employment urine drug screen.

Responsibilities

Provide therapy to individuals and/or groups relative to treatment issues and goals.
Serve as a member of hospital committees.
Perform group therapy and assessment of various patient groups to determine chemical dependency treatment needs.
Serve as part of the treatment team.
