Our Department of Corrections program is in place to provide medication assisted therapy services to incarcerated individuals. As a Therapist, you will provide assessment and treatment interventions consistent with the program model. This includes conducting clinical and risk assessments, collaborating with individuals to create individualized, person-centered treatment plans, and demonstrating competency in age related or specialty issues and developmental needs for each population served. You will work with clients to develop appropriate discharge plans utilizing natural support and maintain collaborative relationships with family members and other service providers. The role involves providing crisis assessment and intervention to monitor the status of clients in crisis. Care may be provided in office, home, residential, and/or community-based settings based on the program model and setting. You will be responsible for maintaining client and staff records according to agency policy, providing coverage for team members during periods of absence, and participating in weekly supervision, consultations, and meetings. Transportation of clients using agency vehicles and/or personal vehicles may be required. Participation in all required CHR training and obtaining/maintaining certification in an EBP (if applicable) is also expected. In residential programs, therapists prioritize safety and physical presence, participating as full members of the milieu. Additional responsibilities may be required.
