Program Info Rowan College of South Jersey is a regional institution serving Gloucester and Cumberland counties, delivering access to quality higher education at an affordable cost. Acenda and Rowan College of South Jersey joined in a premier partnership to prioritize mental health and wellness for RCSJ’s students through their Wellness Centers on campus, by providing high-quality, evidenced -based, mental health therapy services to students in need. Job Overview The RCSJ therapist is flexible, willing and able to provide ongoing counseling services to students and complete intake appointments in an open access system model. The therapist must possess the skills necessary to work within a team and have awareness and previous implementation of evidence-based protocols. The position has a level of service in regard to face-to-face hours with clients. The therapist role is an integral part of the RCSJ Wellness Center in helping to ensure the highest quality of service to students.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement is a master's degree and a professional or associate level-license: LCSW, LPC, LSWL, LSW, LAC, LMFT, LAMFT in the state of practice
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment under all circumstances.
  • Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Provides emotional support, appropriate intervention strategies, and adjusts services accordingly.
  • Meets level of service (LOS) expectations.
  • Available on site at identified RCSJ Wellness Center.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans and assist with crisis assessment.
  • Conduct individual and/or group counseling sessions.
  • Upholds ethical standards in accordance with the Social Work Code of Ethics.
  • Educates self on issues impacting the program population.
  • Meets communication, supervisory, program quality, and client interaction requirements as outlined in program manual
  • Attends program staff meetings at least once per month.
  • Effectively engages all client populations
  • Works collaboratively with coworkers, RCSJ partners, and agency staff to effectively communicate and problem-solve .
  • Submits documentation within program requirements.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
