Our company is striving to bring adolescent depression, anxiety, and suicide to all-time lows by 2028. Our program serves adolescents ages 12-17. Students live in a family style setting where community and interpersonal relationships are encouraged. As a primary therapist, you would be responsible for determining the best mitigating methods for the restoration of health. Our campus is set alongside the Hiwassee River and a bamboo forest which becomes part of our expanded classroom that consists of hiking, biking, equine, parkour, climbing, and other activities. Requirements

  • Minimum Master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences - Social Work (SWM), Clinical Social Work (CSW), Clinical Mental Counseling (CMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or related discipline.
  • Licensed or ability to be licensed in state of Tennessee - Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent.
  • A desire to facilitate client growth through a team approach, working with other care providers.
  • A desire to perform and develop counseling/therapeutic expertise in individual, family, and group therapy.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and adjust a course of treatment as required.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, fingerprints, and drug screen.
  • Drivers license in good standing.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred - Two years of working experience in a residential setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.

Responsibilities

  • Therapeutic Sessions: Conduct daily group therapy session for multiple groups (processing psychotherapy, skills based psychoeducational, and experiential based therapy sessions)
  • Risk assessments: Conduct risk assessments and safety monitoring of clients.
  • Clinical Assessments and Treatment planning: Provide occasional biopsychosocial assessment, Mental Status Exams, and treatment planning.
  • Therapeutic Modalities: Demonstrate a profound understanding of Relational, Experiential, and Systemic therapeutic modalities and their applications.
  • Therapeutic Expertise: Possess advanced skills in discernment, therapeutic theory, intervention techniques, and teaching methods.
  • Boundary Management: Maintain the capability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with students and their parents, fostering a safe and therapeutic environment.
  • Behavior Assessment: Demonstrate the ability to assess and interpret student behavior, enabling informed decision-making based on input from multiple sources.
  • Collaborative Treatment Model: Actively participate in Benton's Treatment Teams, collaborating with representatives from Clinical, Residential, Recreational Therapy, Nursing, and Academics.
  • Ceremonial Leadership: Assist in planning, implementing, and leading any ceremonies, contributing to the therapeutic and experiential aspects of our program.
