About The Position

POSITION PURPOSE: Will provide psychotherapy to adult consumers within community setting and identify treatment modality utilized to address therapeutic goals. While you’ll be part of a team, your work will largely be independent, and you’ll require consistent discretion and judgment to carry out your daily duties. Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work plus 1 year of social service experience
  • Act 33/34/73 clearances.
  • Pre-employment Drug Screen
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to drive an organization vehicle/van

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Treatment Team meetings, including collaboration with psychiatrists and other agency staff.
  • Maintain clinical records according to agency policies and procedures.
  • Assist targeted adults with serious and persistent mental illness and their families in accessing services, building support networks and resolving conflicts.
  • Provide crisis intervention as needed and assist clients to develop natural and community-based support systems.
  • Exercise clinical judgment in initiating services and follow up as appropriate.
  • Attend and participate in interagency and intra-agency case reviews and other interagency meetings as needed.
  • Assess, develop, implement, evaluate and revise treatment planning as needed according to policy and procedures.
