Auberle is a premier multi-service agency that strengthens over 5,000 individuals and families annually, focusing on Workforce Development, Housing, Foster Care, Young Adult Services, and Behavioral Health. The Mobile Intervention for Young Adults (MIYA) Program, a key initiative, provides comprehensive mobile services and support to youth aged 18 to 25 years as they transition out of the social service system into the community. The program emphasizes engaging youth and young adults in decision-making and problem-solving, working closely with their families and natural supports to achieve individual recovery goals. The primary objective is to help transition-age youth and young adults with serious emotional/behavioral disorders (SE/BD) or serious mental illness (SMI) live as independently as possible, maximizing stability and long-term recovery. This includes individuals currently in adult Community Residential Rehabilitation Programs (CRR) or Long Term Structured Residential Programs (LTSR), those being discharged from psychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (RTF), or those aging out of Children, Youth and Family Services or transitioning from the Juvenile Justice system. The MIYA Program employs a clinical and skill development approach to help individuals acquire critical adaptive skills for independent living, enabling them to self-determine their needs for a meaningful life in the community, including choices related to living, learning, working, and socializing.
