Job Summary The Mental Health Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents and/or young adults experiencing mental health and behavioral health challenges. This role collaborates with a multidisciplinary clinical team to support patients throughout a structured treatment episode and into successful aftercare.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Active, unrestricted license as one of the following:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred, particularly with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- If pre-licensed:
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Eligible for licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
- Actively pursuing clinical licensure hours.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and/or EMDR preferred.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, case managers, and clinical staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with Idaho licensing regulations and ethical standards.
- Participate in treatment team meetings to review client progress and adjust care plans as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention and clinical support when necessary.
- Deliver psychoeducation to clients and families to support engagement in treatment.
- Ensure all services align with best practices and Idaho state requirements.
