Job Summary The Mental Health Therapist provides individual, group, and family therapy to adolescents and/or young adults experiencing mental health and behavioral health challenges. This role collaborates with a multidisciplinary clinical team to support patients throughout a structured treatment episode and into successful aftercare.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Active, unrestricted license as one of the following:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience preferred, particularly with mental health and/or substance use disorders.
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • If pre-licensed:
  • Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Eligible for licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT.
  • Actively pursuing clinical licensure hours.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and/or EMDR preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, case managers, and clinical staff.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with Idaho licensing regulations and ethical standards.
  • Participate in treatment team meetings to review client progress and adjust care plans as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and clinical support when necessary.
  • Deliver psychoeducation to clients and families to support engagement in treatment.
  • Ensure all services align with best practices and Idaho state requirements.
