About The Position

Prestige Healthcare Resources, Inc. (PHRI) is a leading behavioral healthcare organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families across the District of Columbia and Maryland. They provide high-quality, person-centered services and rely on accurate insurance verification to ensure Consumers receive timely access to care without disruption. The MHRS Therapist works in a dynamic multidisciplinary team providing treatment services according to the Prestige Healthcare Resources Inc. Clinical Model. Therapist responsibilities include ensuring patient safety, providing milieu interventions, leading psycho-educational and process-oriented therapy groups, facilitating clinical assessments, conducting individual and family therapy sessions, and other case management tasks, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree- Board approved LCSW, LCPC, LCADC
  • Two years of administrative/office or related experience.
  • CPR Certification (Required)
  • Submits motor vehicle record upon initial employment and every year afterwards.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Outlook and other standard software applications.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.A.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting initial consultations to gather client information
  • Assessing clients emotional and mental health and developing treatment plans to meet them
  • Asking questions and listening to help clients explore their thoughts and feelings
  • Leading clients through mental exercises and role-playing activities when beneficial
  • Counseling and advising clients on issues of importance to them
  • Intervening with emergency care techniques and protocols when clients are in crisis
  • Providing referrals for additional care or services when required
  • Maintaining detailed confidential records
  • Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services in accordance with general standards applicable to mental health professionals.
  • Provides individual and/or group counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, elderly, and families.
  • Manages caseload and other tasks to meet both qualitative and quantitative performance expectations.
  • Provides crisis assessment and intervention as needed.
  • Adheres to and upholds the ethical standards and guidelines of the profession.
  • Documents work in accordance with standards in the areas of diagnostic evaluations, progress notes, treatment plans, discharge procedures, and other consumer related activities.
  • Participates in education and other activities necessary to maintain competency in clinical work.
  • Actively participates in clinical team and staff meetings.
  • Support team members and participate in team activities to help build a high-performance team.
  • Communicates effectively and works cooperatively with others.
  • Demonstrates flexibility in areas such as job duties and schedule to aid in better serving its members and help PHRI MD achieve its business and operational goals.
  • Assists in efforts to continuously improve by assuming responsibility for identifying and bringing to the attention of responsible entities operations problems and/or inefficiencies.
  • Performs additional responsibilities as needed and/or outlined by PHRI leadership.
