About The Position

Comprehensive Healthcare provides innovative behavioral health and integrated healthcare services to clients of all ages, fostering a creative and collaborative work environment and delivering clinically excellent, trauma-informed, recovery-oriented services. Therapists at Comprehensive utilize evidence-based practices to provide clients and their families with support in learning new skills and connecting to community resources. Counseling and skill development may be provided through individual or group sessions, depending on need. Therapist positions require excellent listening and communication skills, as well as a desire to collaborate to assist each client with reaching his or her recovery goals. Clinical supervision and training in evidence-based practices are provided as part of this position. This role is with the Adult Outpatient team in Yakima, which serves clients aged 18 years and older who are experiencing a wide variety of mental health diagnoses, including some individuals with co-occurring substance use disorders. The Therapist for the adult outpatient team will be onsite to work with clients at our outpatient clinic.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social or behavioral science or related field
  • Must be eligible to apply for associate licensure
  • Must be eligible for registration as Agency Affiliated Counselor
  • Complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug screen and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Independent licensure as LMHC or LICSW preferred

Responsibilities

  • providing individual and family therapy
  • facilitating behavioral health groups
  • completing mental health intakes and assessments
  • collaborating with each client to create an individualized treatment plan
  • assessing clients for safety and risk to self or others, and taking appropriate crisis intervention measures when indicated
  • assisting with case management as needed
  • thorough and timely completion of required clinical documentation
