We are looking for a Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapist to join the team at Veteran's Home, in Montevideo, MN! Requirements

Must be a graduate from an Accredited Occupational Therapy Program and have a bachelor’s degree.
Must possess a current MN Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) License or Must possess a current Accredited MN Occupational Therapy (OTR) License
Must possess strong knowledge regarding state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long-term care.
Must be capable of performing the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing and possess sufficient communication skills to perform the tasks required.

Responsibilities

Assess & Evaluate Patients: Conduct evaluations to understand patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional needs affecting daily activities.
Develop & Implement Treatment Plans: Create personalized intervention programs to improve independence in daily tasks and work-related functions.
Provide Therapeutic Activities: Guide patients through exercises, adaptive techniques, and assistive device training to enhance motor skills and coordination.
Educate & Support Patients & Families: Provide patient and caregiver education such as but not limited to: coping strategies, home modifications, and techniques to improve quality of life and independence.
Monitor Progress & Adjust Plans: Track patient improvements, document progress, and modify treatment approaches as needed.
Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Work with doctors, physical therapists, and other professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
COTA - Assist occupational therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients, focusing on improving daily living activities (ADLs).
COTA - Monitor patient progress and document outcomes in accordance with care plans.
COTA - Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and exercises.
COTA - Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.
