Requirements

• Basic understanding of and comfort level with medical terminology, residential treatment, clinical science/pathology and psychiatric disorders.
• Ability to gather and analyze data.
• Articulate, assertive, and able to communicate effectively with families, payers, therapists, and physicians both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative, tact, and good judgment.
• Ability to acquire a clear understanding of treatment priorities and make sound decisions balancing resident and family needs with available resources.
• Basic computer skills.
• Master’s degree in a social science, such as counseling, psychology, or social work.

Nice To Haves

• Two or more years experience in a mental health setting working with children and/or adolescents is preferred.
