Inpatient Therapist Opportunity - Offering $10,000 Sign-On Bonus! This opportunity is a full-time, benefit eligible position. The Therapist performs social service functions to include assisting clients in meeting their bio-psycho-social needs while enabling them to access through therapeutic treatment skills to achieve their optimal level of emotional health. The clinical social services provided includes crisis intervention, short-term family therapy, group therapy, discharge planning, as well as basic consultation, teaching, and specialized clinical social services for patients/families receiving care. The Therapist serves as an integral member of the treatment team and is also responsible for case management of patients internal/ external support systems. Lincoln Prairie Behavioral Health Center is dedicated to providing youth with compassionate mental health treatment that encourages self-responsibility and personal growth. We are the only facility of our kind in Central Illinois. We provide psychiatric treatment to children and adolescents that present with a broad range of psychiatric and behavioral disorders. Requirements

  • Strong clinical assessment skills with majority of experience focused on the child/adolescent population
  • Must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in job description.
  • Perform bio-psychosocial assessments that result in abroad picture of treatment needs, and aids in the development of a multidisciplinary treatment plan.
  • Master’s Degree in a mental health/human services field from an accredited college (counseling, social work, psychology) required.
  • Two (2) years’ experience desired, preferably in a behavioral health care facility, with direct experience in individual, family and group therapies, crisis intervention and treatment.
  • Experience working with the child/adolescent population
  • Successful completion of CPR certification and the current patient aggression management training, including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, within 90 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • LCSW/LCPC preferred.
  • Certification as alcohol or other drug abuse counselor preferred.
