About The Position

The Program Therapist performs social service functions to include assisting patients in meeting their biopsychosocial needs through enabling them to access therapeutic treatment skills and achieve their optimal level of emotional health and stability. In addition, the program therapist will provide basic consultation, teaching, individual and group therapy, family sessions, and crisis intervention services. Furthermore, they are an active participant in providing information and initiating referral services for the patients’ served.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field.
• Must have a license in good standing or be within 90 days of obtaining required license.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a mental health field.
• Strong clinical assessment skills.
• Direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
• Experience in properly documenting services rendered to patients.

Nice To Haves

• Preferred psychiatric facility experience.
• Texas License in Social Work or clinical related mental health field (LPC-Intern, LPC, LMSW, LCSW, LMFT).
