About the position

Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is located in beautiful Flowood, MS, a thriving city outside the capital of Jackson. With a 120-bed capacity, Brentwood BH is the largest facility of its kind in Mississippi specializing in providing psychiatric treatment services to children, adolescents, and adults. Our multidisciplinary team works to create a treatment plan tailored to each individual patient in a structured nurturing and therapeutic environment. Brentwood Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and talented therapist Full-Time for our Clinical/Social Services Department. The Therapist plans, provides, coordinates, documents, and evaluates direct and indirect social services to patients in accordance with established methods and procedures of the hospital / adolescent PHP/IOP program. These services include but are not limited to the following: individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy, case management, treatment planning, rounding with clinical staff, attending/conducting unit and hospital meeting, discharge/care planning and follow-up resource development/assistance, and serving as a member on various committees. The Therapist further contributes to Social Services and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational efforts and Quality Management efforts. The Social Worker/Therapist is available to work any unit/department within the hospital as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, provide, coordinate, document, and evaluate direct and indirect social services to patients.
  • Conduct individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy.
  • Perform case management and treatment planning.
  • Round with clinical staff and attend/conduct unit and hospital meetings.
  • Engage in discharge/care planning and follow-up resource development/assistance.
  • Serve as a member on various committees.
  • Support the philosophy and objectives of Social Services and the hospital.
  • Participate in educational efforts and Quality Management efforts.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.
  • Two years' experience in an in-patient psychiatric setting.
  • Current Mississippi license as a LCSW, LMSW, or LPC.
