Our therapists are central to our mission and serve as expert advisors to LSI's early childhood, behavioral health, and family safety teams. We are seeking a Full time/Part time Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA) to work with a team of experienced and licensed Clinical supervisors in providing telehealth and in-person therapy and counseling to couples, families, adults, and children in Cerro Gordo and Floyd Counties. Flexibility to work within schools in the Charles City and Mason City districts. This is an immediate opening due to high community need, and we are excited to offer the potential for a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates!

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Counseling or other approved related field (LMFT,LMHC)
  • Must be licensed in the state of Iowa (temporary and provisionally licensed applicants are encouraged to apply!)
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Strong computer skills, including electronic client care databases and MS Office software
  • Flexible availability - evening and weekend hours may be required to meet the needs of clients
  • A valid driver's license, good driving record, and auto insurance
  • Must be able to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry, and a criminal history check

Responsibilities

  • Provide community based therapy and counseling assessments in addition to providing trauma informed services to youth detained in Polk County Detention
  • Have the potential to see clients in a school and detention based settings
  • Serve a diverse population of children, adults, couples, and families
  • Develop individual treatment plans to fully address each client's various behavioral and mental health care needs
  • Manage case plan oversight and re-evaluate as necessary to build the best possible outcomes for our clients
  • Have the ability to receive free clinical licensure supervision from one of our Clinical Supervisors
