About The Position

Come Join Our Team! THERAPIST (LMFT/AMFT) Outpatient Psych program (PHP) Psychiatric Unit located at Corona Regional Rehabilitation Hospital at the Magnolia site in Corona, Ca. This a Full-time position 8:00AM - 4:30PM Reporting to the Program Manager, this position provides psychoeducation, psychotherapeutic groups, individual therapy and family therapy to individuals who are seriously mentally ill. Groups focus on symptom management and medication management, which assist patients to function at their highest potential within their community; avoiding re-hospitalization. Interns are required to be supervised until fully licensed per Medi-Care guidelines.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with computer skills.
• Knowledge of Patient Rights.
• Specific education and/or experience working with geriatric and/or adult behavioral health patients.
• Minimum of 12 months clinical experience in the field of Mental Health required.
• Master's degree in Social Work, psychology, counseling or a related field required.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.
• Associate Marriage Family Therapist license required.
• Full MFT licensure is required within 5 years of hire.
• Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychoeducation to patients.
• Conduct psychotherapeutic groups.
