About The Position

The department of Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity for a full-time hybrid Therapist, Licensed. The Therapist, Licensed coordinates and provides individualized case management, group therapy, and bio-psychosocial assessment services, including group counseling and psychoeducation. The incumbent demonstrates expertise in the development of client resources, individual counseling, discharge and continuing care planning, and client placement. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS Relates to and interacts well with patients to meet their age-specific physical and psychosocial needs. Interviews and evaluates patients to determine need and develops treatment plans accordingly. Works in conjunction with multidisciplinary service teams to ensure implementation of coordinated psychosocial services. Prepares progress notes, reports, and correspondence for assigned patients, and maintains case records. Conducts ongoing individual and group psychoeducation and counseling sessions with patients. Completes psychosocial evaluations, diagnoses psychological disorders, prepares comprehensive clinical summaries, and makes recommendations for treatment. Interprets psychological or psychiatric case information based on patient interviews and medical or psychiatric sources. Completes and maintains all required client-related and programmatic documentation. Performs routine data collection tasks for studies. Serves as program liaison to collaborating service providers and treatment centers. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in relevant field
  • Valid State of Florida Licensure or License Eligible in relevant field
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (including experience received while training)
  • Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
  • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary.
