Position Summary The IOP/PHP Treatment Coordinator is responsible for conducting therapeutic services for out-patient patients. They provide group counseling sessions. IOP/PHP Teatment Coordinators are responsible for interviewing and developing the psychological history, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family, developing appropriate treatment objectives and treatment summaries. PHP/IOP Treatment Coordinators act as the patients' and families' primary contact while the patient is participating in an put-patient program, as well as their advocate with the treatment team. Treatment Coordinators are also liaisons with outside agencies and individuals for the purpose of developing and coordinating discharge planning with the treatment team and family.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health counseling or related field;
  • Current license from the State of Florida, such as LCSW, LMFT, LMHC required;
  • One (1) year direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy with patient with psychiatric diagnoses. For specialized issues or treatment modalities, training must be specific to these; abuse reactive, sexual offending, substance abuse, sexual trauma, vocational, play therapy, art therapy and relaxation therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting therapeutic services for Partial Hospitalization/Intensive OutPatient Program patients and Telehealth Counseling;
  • Provide group counseling sessions;
  • Conducting assessments of newly admitted patients;
  • Developing an updated, or detailed re-assessment of the patient;
  • Providing support and advocacy Coordination/liaison with community-based social and mental health agency(ies) regarding the pre-admission status of the patient Member of the treatment team in development of treatment planning and subsequent planned interventions.
