About The Position

We are seeking a Outpatient Therapist Intern to join our clinical team. This internship provides hands‑on experience working with individuals, families, and groups in an outpatient mental health setting. Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, the intern will gain practical skills in assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, documentation, and case management. This role is ideal for graduate students pursuing a degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field who are looking to complete required clinical hours while developing strong professional competencies.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a master’s program in Counseling or Psychology.
  • Eligible for internship placement through academic program
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain professionalism, boundaries, and confidentiality
  • Commitment to cultural humility and trauma‑informed care
  • Ability to work independently while accepting guidance and feedback
  • Basic computer proficiency for documentation and telehealth platforms

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy under supervision
  • Conduct intake assessments and assist in developing treatment plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards
  • Participate in weekly supervision with a licensed clinician
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support client care
  • Follow ethical guidelines, confidentiality requirements, and agency policies
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
  • Support crisis intervention efforts as appropriate to training and supervision level
