About The Position

We are seeking a Outpatient Therapist Intern to join our clinical team. This internship provides hands‑on experience working with individuals, families, and groups in an outpatient mental health setting. Under the supervision of a licensed clinician, the intern will gain practical skills in assessment, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, documentation, and case management. This role is ideal for graduate students pursuing a degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field who are looking to complete required clinical hours while developing strong professional competencies.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in a master’s program in Counseling or Psychology.
Eligible for internship placement through academic program
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to maintain professionalism, boundaries, and confidentiality
Commitment to cultural humility and trauma‑informed care
Ability to work independently while accepting guidance and feedback
Basic computer proficiency for documentation and telehealth platforms

Responsibilities

Provide individual, family, and/or group therapy under supervision
Conduct intake assessments and assist in developing treatment plans
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with agency standards
Participate in weekly supervision with a licensed clinician
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support client care
Follow ethical guidelines, confidentiality requirements, and agency policies
Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities
Support crisis intervention efforts as appropriate to training and supervision level
