About The Position

The Therapist II is responsible for providing therapeutic services to OPCS outpatient clients. The role involves interacting with individuals who are experiencing homelessness, Serious Mental Illness, Substance Use Disorder, and other related conditions. The therapist will utilize a harm reduction and Housing First approach to support clients in reaching their goals.

Requirements

  • Independent License (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LIAC).
  • Experience providing therapy to clients with a serious mental illness, substance use disorders, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Knowledge of Evidence-Based Oractices (EBPs) used in treating client in the areas of mental health, substance use, and trauma.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and writing skills.
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records.
  • Possess and maintain valid CPR/First Aid Certification, or ability to complete training and pass certification.
  • Valid Arizona driver’s license, proof of auto insurance and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Completion of behavioral health assessments, screenings, recovery plans, and discharge summaries as needed, under the direction of a Behavioral Health Professional.
  • Delivery of Counseling Services to clients in both a group and individual format in accordance with the Recovery Plan.
  • Making updates to the plan as services are completed. If it is determined that the client needs services outside of the current plan.
  • Conduct clinical and interdisciplinary staffing meetings to ensure quality service provision and strong coordination of care standards are met and communicated.
  • Support colleagues in managing their caseload through coaching on specific interventions and training tactics to increase engagement and quality of service.
  • Provide clinical supervision and/or oversight as needed.
  • Document services and information within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Maintain all client files in a confidential manner and in compliance with HIPAA standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.
