Since 1971, the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board has provided a comprehensive continuum of high-quality, essential, and community-based services to citizens of the Peninsula who are living with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders. The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board is seeking a dedicated and qualified Child and Adolescent Licensed Clinician (LPC or LCSW) to enhance our team. For over five decades, we have been passionately providing high-quality, community-based services to those affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorders on the Peninsula. In this pivotal role, you will be part of our Comprehensive Outpatient Services, focusing on short-term, solution-oriented mental health and substance abuse therapies for children and adolescents, ages four and up. Your responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, managing a caseload of clients, and delivering individual, group, and family therapy. You will develop targeted treatment plans while employing diverse therapeutic modalities, all under the guidance of comprehensive service plans and working closely with family members. To be successful as a Child and Adolescent Licensed Clinician Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, candidates must possess a robust skill set tailored for effective mental health and substance abuse treatment. A minimum of two years of clinical experience providing therapeutic counseling, crisis intervention, and case management is essential. Requirements

LPC, LCSW, or LMFT licensed professional with the VA DHP
Two (2) years of clinical experience including therapeutic counseling crisis intervention and case management functions
Must be eligible or approved for MCO credentialing
