About The Position

The Therapist in this position will provide therapeutic services to clients of SpectraCare's substance abuse program at The Haven. Work hours of this position are Monday - Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Requirements

MS degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field with completion of a relevant clinical practicum
Must have a good motor vehicle record and be willing to submit to MVR check
Prefer substance abuse certification from the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors, National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Association or International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium. If not previous certified or licensed as an LPC, LICSW or LMFT, must be willing to obtain certification within 30 months of hir
Must meet insurability requirements to drive a system vehicle (21 years of age).

Nice To Haves

Prefer substance abuse certification from the Alabama Association of Addiction Counselors, National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Association or International Certification and Reciprocity Consortium.

Responsibilities

Facilitating individual, couple, family and group therapy to clients employing various therapeutic techniques
Documenting and updating clinical records using an electronic health record system
Coordinate with community agencies and programs for services as needed such as sober living homes, DHR, AA, various other civic and religious groups
Responds to crisis situations as needed
