About The Position

Do you want to play a key role in helping students spend more time, learning in the classroom? If you want to help ensure a student’s mental health is not a barrier to their academic achievement then we want you! A Therapist I/II School-Based is an individual who is or can be provisionally or fully licensed (LMSW, PLPC, LCSW, LPC) therapist with the State of Missouri. This individual is responsible for providing quality, evidence-based, trauma-informed therapy aimed at meeting the integrated behavioral, social, psychological, emotional, and safety needs of students that interfere with their academic success. The therapist’s caseload of students will be in the Mehlville or Parkway School Districts. This position works year-round as part of a collaborative team of support, including the student’s family and school staff. A hybrid of in-person and virtual sessions is used to meet referral needs.

Requirements

  • This position requires a Master’s degree in Social Work Counseling, or Psychology.
  • The Therapist I position requires professional licensure (e.g. LMSW, PLPC).
  • Zero (0) to three (3) years of experience is required.
  • The Therapist II position requires professional licensure (e.g. LCSW, LPC) and ability to be credentialed with Missouri Medicaid.
  • The applicant must also be eligible to give licensure supervision.
  • Therapist II applicants must have two (2) to five (5) years of post-clinical licensure experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening.
  • This position also requires a valid driver’s license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
