About The Position
Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking dedicated professionals to join our dynamic homeless services team, which includes peer specialists, case managers, therapists, housing navigators, and a client service representative. Together, we are actively building a cohesive, collaborative team aimed at expanding and enhancing the services and programs we offer to homeless individuals. By leveraging diverse expertise and fostering teamwork, we provide comprehensive support to address the multifaceted needs of our clients with empathy and effectiveness. We are committed to making a positive impact on the lives of homeless individuals in our community through meaningful programs and compassionate care. We are hiring a passionate and dedicated Master's level Unlicensed Therapist (MA in Counseling with a Candidate Permit - SWC/LSW, LPCC, or MFT-C), Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT), or an Unlicensed/Licensed Psychologist to conduct assessments, provide therapeutic interventions, and develop tailored treatment plans to address trauma, substance use, and mental health concerns. The therapist will offer trauma-informed, client-centered care to help individuals navigate the complexities of homelessness while managing mental health and substance use challenges. The ideal candidate is resilient, empathetic, and experienced in working with vulnerable populations facing severe mental health issues, substance use disorders, and homelessness. A deep understanding of trauma-informed care, substance use disorder treatment, crisis intervention, and strong organizational and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a passion for advocating for this population.
