About The Position

Concord Counseling is one of the most highly acclaimed, behavioral health non-profit centers in Central Ohio. Based in Westerville and founded in 1972, Concord is dedicated to healing people in mind and spirit with programs and services that change lives. The Therapist provides outpatient counseling services to older adults (60 and over) in both their homes and in our Westerville, office focusing on supporting their independence and promoting good mental health. This position requires the ability to work at least one evening per week.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in social work with license – either LISW or LPCC, required; experience providing therapy/counseling preferred.
• Ability to maintain thorough, timely, well documented treatment plans, case notes and intake summaries, illustrating caseload measurable treatment progress in computerized medical records system.
• Must have working knowledge of mental illness, psychiatric symptoms, and their impact on functioning and behavior working with older adults and understanding their unique challenges.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Enrolled on Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and/or private insurance panels preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual counseling to older adults, addressing their mental health needs.
• Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each client's needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Electronic Health Records.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
• Manage time effectively to meet productivity and documentation requirements.
