Requirements

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related Behavioral Health field.
  • Licensure in the therapist’s field of study (LMFT, LPCA, LCSW, LMSW).
  • Experience in home-based therapy, family systems theory, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and trauma-informed care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments, identifying key family participants, protective and risk factors, and developing relational analyses to guide treatment.
  • Provide ongoing family therapy, at least once a week, adjusting the frequency based on the clinical needs of the youth and family.
  • Address clinical needs through interventions aligned with the FFT FC model, supporting the youth and family’s long-term stability.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Care4 and other required electronic health record systems, including crisis management plans, safety planning, and session summaries.
  • Continuously assess engagement levels of family members and collaborate with the supervisor and other stakeholders to overcome barriers to participation.
  • Conduct model-specific and foster care-adherent risk assessments for each family, developing tailored safety plans and interventions to reduce risks and strengthen protective factors.
  • Keep all relevant parties informed of elevated risks and attend family court appearances and Administrative Case Reviews.
