The Therapist, Dependently Licensed position at our Behavioral Health facility in Norwalk, OH, is a full-time role that offers a comprehensive range of behavioral health treatment services. Under the supervision of the assigned Program Coordinator, the therapist will engage in diagnostic assessments, individual, family, and group therapy, crisis intervention, and various treatment and prevention services. The therapist will work with diverse populations, adapting their approach based on the specific needs of the clients and the requirements of the role. The therapist is responsible for diagnosing and treating behavioral health disorders within their scope of practice and under clinical supervision. All services must comply with the guidelines set forth by Medicaid/Medicare, the Accreditation Commission for Health Care (ACHC), OhioMHAS, and CARF. A commitment to quality care is essential, and the therapist will be expected to engage in professional growth and utilize best practices to foster patient engagement and retention throughout the treatment process. In addition to providing direct care, the therapist will perform essential tasks to ensure patient safety, including ongoing risk factor screenings, developing safety and crisis management plans, and coordinating with after-hours services as necessary. The therapist will also play a crucial role in promoting patient recovery by actively involving patients in their treatment planning and integrating their strengths into the therapeutic process. The position requires effective use of electronic medical records (EMR) and video-conferencing software, with a strong emphasis on maintaining compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality laws.
